Jimmie Johnson Earns Hendrick Marrow Program Additional Contribution from Bosch Aftermarket

BROADVIEW, IL.- April 15, 2015 – Six-time NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series™ champion Jimmie Johnson drove his Bosch-equipped No. 48 Lowe’s Pro Services Chevrolet SS to his 72nd career Sprint Cup Series victory in Saturday night’s Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. It was Johnson’s second victory of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.

In recognition of the win, Bosch Automotive Aftermarket NA is donating another $1,000 to the Hendrick Marrow Program, which works to raise money to help cover uninsured costs of transplants through the Hendrick Family Fund for patient assistance, and add more volunteers to the Be The Match® Registry.

Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, established the Hendrick Marrow Program of Be The Match® Foundation, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, after being diagnosed with leukemia in 1997.

“I can’t think of a better testament to Bosch quality than having top racing teams trust our products to endure 500 miles at speeds up to 200 mph,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America. “We are honored to work with Jimmie and Hendrick Motorsports both on the track on race day and off the track supporting the Hendrick Marrow Program.”

Bosch Aftermarket has a long-standing partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, including Johnson and his fellow Hendrick Motorsports drivers Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr.  Bosch has provided quality parts — such as oxygen sensors, spark plugs, injectors, alternators, coils, filters, fuel pumps, starters and pressure regulators — to the Hendrick Motorsports teams for more than a decade, helping them to numerous appearances in victory lane and seven Sprint Cup championships since 2001.
